There’s another version of this song that focuses on who George Washington would meet.
Memories!!
No doubt this was exactly the reason they were written
BOB LOOK SO YOUNG!!!!!!
Yep I used to go for loudness so iId play Elfman’s Batman theme, William’s Jaws theme and Silverstri’s Back to The Future theme but that just seemed to draw more attention then it got rid of. Now I just start with my Sesame street songbook and they scatter , without fail.
A grocer and a doctor sing “Who Are The People In Your Neighborhood” and Bob loves it. The grocer even ran into the doctor and said “And the grocer is the person in your neighborhood.”
No! really? I mean did you REALLY play those songs on piano and they all scattered like that? I know the new generation has lacked in taste of music but is it really that bad they can’t stand ONE positive song?
I first saw the show in 1969 when I was a little kid. I have loved it since. These days, I still watch with my grandchildren. My grandson is two, and he will probably be watching Sesame Street with his grandchild in 40 years.
i would like to find the video for Grover’s sketch where he sings “i am not afraid” i think of that whenever i think of old school sesame street! LOL
I rarely sing those songs when I play but I ALWAYS sing and tear up when I play “It’s not easy being green” because it’s such a beautiful melancholy song and I’m reminded of how much I miss Jim Henson (I never met him but I miss him just the same) & I always sing and laugh when I play Grover’s “What Do I Do When I’m Alone” That melody is lovely too but I laugh because I’m reminded of my dirty brother riffing on the innuendo in that song as he got older. Dumb but funny
<_< the ghetto version of this song must be really messed up xD JK
I <3 this song ^_^
do u just play them on the piano, or do u sing them too??? i’d be surprised if it didn’t bother other neighbors! LOL yeah teens nowadays like that crap like Katy Perry, Lady Gag Me, Taylor Swift and all this baloney! THAT is not music at all!!!
because he was BORING!!!! he could never come up with this type of song!
not sure if it relates to that but there is an old joe raposo song “trying and trying” where the video is a tree frog climbing a tree! great old school video
frank oz is the doctor
man, i love this…wish to be a kid again and forget about tapping people out…
STRANGER DANGER.
I saw that one. The last time I checked, it was still up on You Tube.
I agree. I missed the old sesame street. I remember Mr. Hooper. I’m a 70s baby
It has something to do with trying a new fruit or vegetable, i can’t remember it though, I just remember the skit.
